Minto Finance Group has been serving the local community since 2017, operating in both Yeppoon and Rockhampton, and assisting clients all over Queensland.
The original business began with brothers Paul Minto and Scott Minto back in 2011, and has since grown to include several brokers and support staff, dedicated to providing outstanding service and expert lending advice with a personalised approach.
Our Team
Scott Minto has been part of the Central Queensland community for most of his life. Having grown up in the beef capital, Scott is invested in helping make this region a great place to live and work.
Forging a career in professional rugby league in his earlier years, he has transferred this commitment and enthusiasm into the mortgage broking and finance world where he now mentors new brokers and oversees the daily operations of Minto Finance Group.
Aside from the business, Scott still has a passion for rugby league and devotes his time to developing and coaching junior players in the CQ area.
Jamie Minto, our Business Development Manager and MFAA-accredited Broker, has been an integral member of our business since coming onboard in 2020. His journey into the finance industry began during his tenure at Suncorp Bank, where he gained invaluable experience in banking and management. Under the guidance of his uncle, Scott Minto, Jamie made the strategic decision to join the family business, and has been pivotal in its growth and success to date.
Jamie’s dedication to excellence earned him the prestigious title of 1st in Total Settled Transactions at the 2022 Elders National Annual Broker Awards, a testament to his commitment to delivering outstanding results for his clients.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Jamie is a dedicated family man and highly regarded member of the local Yeppoon Seagulls A-grade men’s rugby league team.
Beau Ricks is an MFAA-accredited Finance Broker who has worked in the banking and finance industry since 2017. He has also completed a Bachelor of Accounting.
Since joining the team in 2021, Beau has dedicated himself to providing clients with exceptional service. His process-driven approach and unwavering pursuit of excellence enable him to consistently exceed client expectations, delivering positive outcomes for his clients.
Notably, Beau is consistently recognised in the Elders National Broker Awards. He recently secured 2nd in Gross $ Settled Transactions and 3rd in Total Settled Transactions at the 2024 Elders National Annual Broker Awards.
Away from the office, Beau is a family man who enjoys embarking on exciting travel adventures and cherishing quality time with his family.
Ian Scott is our Commercial Business Development Manager and MFAA-accredited broker, who brings over 30 years of finance expertise to the table. His career began in 1988, specialising in consumer finance before transitioning to commercial banking in 1999 with QIDC (now Suncorp). He rose through the ranks to become Commercial Business Banking Manager for Central Queensland.
After leaving Suncorp in 2003, he became the owner-manager of Bank of Queensland’s Yeppoon branch, growing it to become one of the largest in the network.
Ian’s extensive experience spans commercial banking, equipment finance, premium funding, and debtor finance. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, building lasting relationships, and helping clients achieve their goals.
With a passion for supporting local businesses, Ian looks forward to continuing his work in the community.
